Mozarthaus’ ‘Sala Terrena’ is known for its wonderful acoustics and its historical status as the oldest concert hall in Vienna. Mozart himself used to play and work here for Bishop Colloredo in 1781. Painted and designed in the late Renaissance Venetian style under the patronage of the Land Commander Carl Borromäus Count Colloredo Waldsee, Sala Terra is situated on the ground floor of Mozarthaus and is full of Baroque-style paintings of flowers and animals.
